Letnook is a rent book for a site of spaces — market stalls, parking bays and storage units. This manual follows the work: set the site up, let a space, bill it, collect, close the period, and keep the book safe.

Set up Letnook in two screens: name the site, pick a template or count your stalls, bays and units, choose the market, then follow the Get set up card.

The plan and its colours
Read Letnook's Spaces plan: every stall, bay or unit is a cell coloured Paid, Due, Overdue, Vacant or Not billed yet. Switch to List, filter by zone, search.

Group Letnook spaces into zones of market stalls, parking bays or storage units. Add a zone, add a space to it, rename zones and delete spaces you no longer let.

Letting a space
Put a tenant in a Letnook space: open it on the plan, tap Edit space, add the tenant name and contact, check what the space is charged, and save.

Lease, deposit and documents
Record a Letnook tenant's lease start and end, the deposit held, and attach photos of the contract or ID. See when a lease is about to end.

Charge rules
Set what a Letnook space is charged: base rent, a revenue share of declared turnover with a cap, metered electricity or water, fixed extras, late fees and discounts.

The collection round
Work through Letnook's Collect tab: the outstanding total, filters for overdue, not billed and paid spaces, arrears from earlier periods, and Collect next.

Readings and turnover
Enter the electricity or water meter's number in Letnook; it charges the difference at your rate. Declare turnover for a revenue share. Lower readings are refused.

Bills and receipts
Open a Letnook space's Bill / receipt to see every charge line, tax and the total, how to pay, and — once paid — the date, method and bank reference. Share it as an image.

Recording a payment
Take a payment in Letnook: show a QR code with the exact amount (PromptPay, QRIS, Pix, VietQR, KHQR), your own QR, bank details or cash, then mark it received.

Reading a payment slip
Credit a tenant's transfer from their slip screenshot. Letnook reads the QR code on the slip for the bank reference, and never credits the same reference twice.

Arrears from earlier periods
When a Letnook period is closed, unpaid bills become arrears. See them on Collect and on the space, collect them in full, or settle them from the deposit.

Closing the period
Close the Letnook period from Overview: bills are sealed, unpaid ones become arrears, meters roll forward, one-off fees clear and the next month opens.

Bill history
Every closed Letnook period leaves a sealed bill on each space. Open it from Recent activity, share it, and rely on it not changing when rents or tax change.

Move-out and deposits
End a Letnook tenancy with a move-out statement: final bill, deposit held, deductions, arrears settled from the deposit, and the refund or balance due.

Backup and restore
Letnook syncs through your iCloud. Pro adds automatic iCloud Drive backups with 10 restore points; anyone can build a one-file backup and restore from it.

The Excel export
With Letnook Pro, Settings → Data → Build a workbook exports the book as an .xlsx workbook: spaces, bills, history, periods, past tenants and receivables.

Language and market
