Closing the period
Closing is the hinge between two periods. Check the plan, record the money you saw, then let Petak preserve the old period and start the next one.
Before you close
- Resolve or deliberately leave every missing input visible.
- Credit payments and forwarded slips that arrived.
- Review due and overdue spots on the plan.
- Export or back up first if you need a separate handoff record.
What the close does
Petak files the current period into history, carries each unpaid balance forward, and uses the current meter reading as the next previous reading. One-off late fees and discounts do not silently repeat.
