Letting a spot

A spot is billable only when Petak knows who occupies it, which rules apply, and every input those rules need for this period.

Choose the position first

Add the code and choose whether the position is a market stall, parking bay or storage cage. The type changes the identifying fields — a trade for a stall, a plate or vehicle for a bay — but the ledger remains one spot.

Fill the letting details

  • The spot code and type.
  • The occupant's name and contact, if you want them on the bill or collection round.
  • The applicable charge lines and their rates.
  • A lease or supporting document, attached only if you choose to keep one.

Before it can be billed

Every charge rule must have the input it needs. A metered power line needs this period's reading; a turnover share needs the declared turnover; a day pitch needs its day count. Until those inputs exist, Petak shows what it is waiting for and no total is shown.

When a renter leaves

Move the occupant out instead of deleting the spot. The position, closed periods and audit history stay available for the next letting.
