Readings and turnover
Enter the number on the meter face, not the units you think were used. Letnook works out the difference and shows the charge and the new total before you save.
Record a reading
-
1Open
Open the space
Tap a space showing Not billed yet, on the plan or under that filter in Collect.
-
2Read
Tap the reading button
Tap Record Electricity reading (or Water). The sheet shows the Previous reading.
-
3Type
Type the meter's number
Enter the number printed on the meter. The preview shows the Consumption, the charge and the bill's New total.
-
4Save
Save
If the preview looks right, tap Save. When every input is in, the space turns Due.
Save stays grey while the number is blank, negative or lower than the previous reading: a meter only counts up.
Declare turnover
For a space with a revenue share, tap Declare turnover and enter the tenant's turnover for the period. The preview shows the Revenue share, already limited by any cap, and the New total.
Check before you save
Once saved, the reading or turnover is used for this period's bill and there is no screen for changing it, so look at the preview first. If a meter was replaced, set its Carried-over reading in the space's editor to the new meter's starting number before you record the period's reading.

Charge rules
Set what a Letnook space is charged: base rent, a revenue share of declared turnover with a cap, metered electricity or water, fixed extras, late fees and discounts.
NextThe collection round
Work through Letnook's Collect tab: the outstanding total, filters for overdue, not billed and paid spaces, arrears from earlier periods, and Collect next.
NextClosing the period
Close the Letnook period from Overview: bills are sealed, unpaid ones become arrears, meters roll forward, one-off fees clear and the next month opens.
